The present document, being the third part of the series “Energy Efficiency in Boilers”, elaborates in detail the various alternative energy saving methods that can be applied to boiler systems in order to reduce heat losses either by the efficiency improvement of the boiler system or by the heat recovery from the condensate water and flue gases going up through the stack. As a result, the reduction of the flue gas quantity depending mainly on the former will be reflected in less environmental pollution and global warming effect.
This document gives the principles of fundamental approach to energy saving problems in boilers as one of the main technological equipment of industry, and this approach will allow Energy Managers to apply the same principles when similarity exists in physical and / or combustion conditions to other industrial equipment such as furnaces, heat recovery equipment, and so on.
